Things To Help You
1) Being prepared. We log in 9:00am EST and begin preparing stocks with buy /sell orders. Calculate matching share sizes before the opening. $25,000.00 account divided by share price = number of shares to trade.
2) We look for the ideal buy and sell points in pre-market announcements. We write these down. We listen to execute the trade as they come into play. The following is an exapmle of pre-market announcements:
Buy Long Sell Short
AIG 28.20 30.00
BAC 16.00 16.20
F 11.25 11.50
3) Trades are normally established within 2 minutes of opening bell. Listen for the following verbage:
“XYZ is now in play” = Watching XYZ to reach buy/sell zones.
“I am getting ready to buy/sell XYZ” = Have your finger ready to execute trade.
“I am buying/selling XYZ ” = We are executing the trade.
4) If your trading platform has a, “are you sure” or “confirm” before excepting an order, go into your setup and uncheck this option. This will help you make faster trades.
5) Although unnecessary, but it sure does help, have a large screen/monitor or two monitors. When you have your trading platform and our live chatroom, you have taken quite alot of space, and if you were to keep several charts up, it would behoove you to have larger monitors.
6) Be sure to have pen, paper and calculator ready to calculate your 1/2% stops and 1% gains. We will announce these as they occur, however, should you have a power outtage you should calculate these when you enter your trade so you will know what to do.
